The final touches to your wedding outfit are often the most fun to style. They can however be difficult to find. As someone who has styled many people over my career, it's one of my favourite parts to a look. I love searching the globe to find unique and one-off pieces that can be worn on my clients' wedding days, but also be treasured as part of your wardrobe for years to come. And, hopefully, in a lot of cases passed down through the family.
This is why I couldn't resist working with Busra from beautiful Anthemis Designs. Busra is originally from Turkey, and now having relocated with her soulmate to Paris she decided to follow her passion and launch her own accessories design atelier.
Busra and I have a lot in common. Of course she is a very stylish woman, and sees the world with a romantic lense. As a small business owner, I also have a responsibility to support and respect other women doing the same thing. It's also very easy when Busra's designs are one-of-a-kind!
To celebrate Anthemis Designs coming to Australia exclusively via Carte Blanche Bride, I chatted to Busra about her passions, inspirations and her favourite spots in Paris.
What inspired you to start Anthemis?
I decided married to my soulmate when I was trying to leave the fast-paced high-tech industry. Due to the coronavirus, our wedding got postponed twice, and I found solace in crafting my own accessories. As a designer, the satisfaction I got from being creative and using endless sparkles of crystals made me happy, and then my signature piece "angel wings" got a lot of appreciation. This made me think about continuing to do what makes me happy. When moved to the city of love & fashion, Paris, I realized it was time for a new journey, which would come with challenges and uncertainties. Without hesitation, plunged headfirst into creating my first collection in 2022, and then the second in 2023.
Nature and ethereal stories inspire me the most, and I find ideas in the patterns of nature and the power of stories. Combining these two worlds makes something visually stunning and emotionally moving, which is a perfect blend of two different worlds.

Regardless of whatever accessories I make, the Angel wings series will always hold a special and irreplaceable place in my heart, especially since I make it during my early days of the business. Those wings were my first love, my first true muse, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart.
